Open Question: I just got my itouch jailbroken... and i downloaded .IPA files... now how do i install it?

Ok i know COMPLETELY NOTHING about itouch... its just a gift from my grandmother. its an itouch 3rd gen (8gb) and i just had it jailbroken... i have downloaded .IPA files already... do i just drag and drop them to itunes while my itouch is plugged on or something? like what i do with songs? i really don't know... please help me... whats the easiest way?...
